“Then He said to the woman, ‘your faith has saved you. Go in peace,” Luke 7:50.
The reach of Jesus’ grace is immeasurable. He knowingly gave us the gift of salvation while we did not deserve it. He knowingly strengthens and blesses us though we cannot do anything to earn it. By our faith, and that alone, are we saved.
He Jesus reassures the woman who showed her gratitude for His love and kindness with public affection of her own. He makes sure that she knows that it was not her recent display or her deeds or anything that she physically did that saved her; it was her belief. Likewise, the same is true for us. No matter how far we stray from Him, should we choose to believe He will deliver us.
Go in peace. People will still call you a sinner but go in peace. You situation may not look like it is getting better but go in peace. You may become weary and fatigued but go in peace. Because when it comes to your salvation and the power that works in you to move and function, the source is Jesus. So as you walk through situations, look at Jesus. As you begin to face another circumstance, look at Jesus. As you feel like you have reached your wit’s end, look at Jesus.
“I hear the Savior say, “Thy strength indeed is small;
child of weakness, watch and pray, find in Me thine all in all.”
Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe;
sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.”
