“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God,” Philippians 4:6.
Be anxious for nothing…
There are many things that can cause us anxiety; work, relationships, and the fear of unknowns are just a few. Having negative responses to these, such as worry and doubt, are the exact opposite of how we are to act according to God’s will.
When thinking of this subject I am always reminded of 1 Peter 5:7 where we are told to cast all of our cares to God because He cares for us. That is the primary reason; not our weaknesses, burdens, or shortcomings. He cares for us and wants us to trust in Him with our spirits, our bodies, and our minds. How do we do that?
Tell Him. What do you desire? What do you long for? Tell Him. Remember the rough times that He has already delivered you from. Recall the dark places that He has already sealed you from. Be confident in Him and His ability to bless you beyond what you can even ask and watch what He does for you. And most importantly, tell Him. Demonstrate your trust and open your heart to Him.
Have a great day.
