This Day in Romans: 11 July 2016

Romans 11:16 – “Through Him”

“For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.”

The Bible references having our focus stayed on Jesus and continuing to renew our mind on the things of, and the will of, God frequently throughout Scripture.  This is because there are so many distractions in front of, behind, and to each side of us.  It is all too easy to become enamored, distracted, and drawn away from God, who is the very source of our enablement in all things.

This is one of the many reminders that Jesus Christ is the source the things that enable us to be healthy Christians and positive contributors to society.  These include, but are not limited to, joy, peace, wisdom, and righteousness.  Jesus came and served as the epitome of what these things look like in their totality.  His life is our blueprint and in Him, and Him alone, do we achieve such completeness on the inside.  Regardless of what we possess and what we show to others, we each know how we feel on the inside.  I submit to you that the feelings, emotions, and thoughts that we possess are direct correlations of the relationship that we have with God and how much we trust in and on Jesus Christ.

As we continue this day let us remember to keep God’s will and plan for our lives in the forefront.  Through Him is the supply of what we need, through Him are grace and mercy, through Him do we claim victory.
